Ceramic Coating
Singapore.

Ceramic coating is one possible maintenance aid for properly prepared paint. It can change how water behaves and may make routine cleaning easier, but it does not prevent every scratch, chip or mark. Suitability is confirmed after the paint and usage are assessed.

Not a product.
A bond.

Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that chemically bonds to your car's clear coat. Once cured, it forms a protective layer above the paint. Its actual performance depends on the product, preparation, exposure, washing and ongoing maintenance.

The resulting surface is designed to be hydrophobic and can make suitable paint easier to maintain. It does not remove the need for careful washing or guarantee a particular visual result on every vehicle.

But it's not magic. If your paint has swirl marks or scratches before the coating goes on, those defects remain sealed beneath it until the coating is removed and the paint is corrected. Proper preparation — a Stage 1 or Stage 2 polish before application — is not optional. It's part of every coating package we offer.

Protection Type Lasts Bonds to paint
Wax Varies by product and care Sits on the prepared surface
Paint Sealant Varies by product and care Different formulation and durability
Ceramic Coating Varies by product and care Yes — chemical bond

Ceramic coating is one protection route, not an automatic next step. Paint condition, ownership plans and the maintenance routine should be understood before choosing it.

Protection options.
One honest answer.

Every ceramic coating tier includes a full exterior and interior Reset before the coating is applied. We don't apply coating to an unprepared car. Pricing is by car size — Sedan (S), MPV (M), or SUV/Large (L).

Advanced Protection

Available After Assessment

Scope, product and pricing confirmed before booking

For vehicles requiring protection beyond Signature scope, Pure can assess additional surfaces, ownership needs and maintenance expectations. This may include additional protected surfaces, a higher-rated product where conditions genuinely support it, or a longer-term care arrangement.

Exact scope, product and pricing are confirmed at assessment before any booking is made.

S = Sedan   ·   M = MPV   ·   L = SUV / Large   ·   All prices in SGD inclusive of GST

The climate here is not
forgiving to paint.

Singapore sits close to the equator. Paint oxidation, colour fade, and water spot etching are consistent concerns here. Parking situation, wash frequency and vehicle use all affect which tier is appropriate — Pure confirms the right choice before work begins.

Daily outdoor parking

If your car is parked outdoors in an open-air carpark during work hours, Signature Protection may be considered where ceramic protection is appropriate after assessment. Committing to the longest-rated product available may not deliver the full rated duration for a car parked outdoors daily. Pure confirms the realistic expectation before work begins.

Covered or garaged parking

If your car is covered overnight, stored in a basement carpark, or driven infrequently, exposure may be lower, but that does not automatically justify a higher-rated product. At assessment, we consider the existing paint, intended ownership and maintenance plan before discussing whether any coating route offers sensible value.

Exact product.
Confirmed before work begins.

The exact coating product and its manufacturer-rated specifications are confirmed before work begins and recorded in the completion report. The recommendation depends on the vehicle condition, intended use and maintenance expectations.

The process.

01

Assessment

We inspect your paint condition and your parking situation. We recommend the correct tier — sometimes that's a lower tier than you expected.

02

Preparation

Full exterior and interior Reset. Chemical and mechanical paint decontamination as required by the vehicle's condition — including iron-particle removal, targeted tar removal, and clay-bar treatment where appropriate. Stage 1 polish to remove surface defects. Coating goes on a clean, corrected surface.

03

Application

Panel-by-panel coating application in controlled conditions. Levelled, inspected under directional light, and left to cure undisturbed.

04

Collection

You walk through the completed scope before collection. We explain what was done, the initial care requirements and the maintenance approach. Timing is confirmed after the vehicle and scope are assessed.

Everything you need

At Pure Detailing, ceramic coating is priced by car size with no "from" pricing. Signature Protection: S$688 Sedan · S$788 MPV · S$888 SUV. Advanced Protection (additional surfaces and scope) is available after assessment — pricing confirmed before booking. Every package includes the full exterior and interior Reset before coating is applied. The exact product and manufacturer-rated duration are confirmed before work begins.
A coating's real-world performance depends on how the vehicle is parked, washed, used and maintained. Pure confirms the exact product and its manufacturer-rated duration before work begins, without treating the maximum rating as an unconditional guarantee.
It may be worth considering if the vehicle is used regularly, exposed outdoors and the owner wants easier maintenance or longer-term paint preservation. Whether it is good value still depends on the paint condition, washing habits, ownership period and the level of preparation required. Some vehicles need only routine detailing or a simpler protection option. The Car Care Check and physical assessment help determine what is appropriate.
Ceramic coating adds hardness to your paint surface and provides some resistance against fine swirl marks from washing. It does not protect against deep scratches, stone chips, or door dings — those require paint protection film (PPF). Ceramic coating's main benefits are hydrophobic performance, UV resistance, and easier maintenance — not scratch immunity.
No. Ceramic coating must be applied to a fully decontaminated, wax-free surface to bond correctly. Our Reset process includes chemical and mechanical paint decontamination as required by the vehicle's condition — iron-particle removal, tar removal, and clay-bar treatment where appropriate — followed by a Stage 1 polish before any coating is applied. If we find existing coating or sealant that prevents proper bonding, we'll tell you before we proceed.
Timing depends on the vehicle condition, preparation required, selected product, cure requirements and agreed scope. Pure confirms the expected drop-off and collection timing after assessment and before the booking is finalised.
If you notice a concern after collection, contact Pure promptly so the vehicle and documented scope can be reviewed. Whether rectification is appropriate depends on the observed condition, agreed work, environmental exposure and vehicle use after collection; no outcome is assumed before inspection.
