The initial-care window.
There is no responsible universal number for every coating. Curing and initial-care instructions depend on the exact product, environment and application.
Pure should identify the product and provide its current written instructions at handover. If the car becomes wet or contaminated during that period, do not dry-wipe it. Ask before intervening.
A repeatable routine.
Work cool
Wash out of direct heat where practical. Follow the product label and vehicle-care instructions.
Remove loose grit
Rinse before contact. Use clean, soft wash tools and an automotive wash product.
Rinse and dry
Remove wash residue and wipe remaining water with a clean, soft cloth rather than leaving it to dry on the finish.
Inspect calmly
A change in water behaviour alone does not prove failure. Contamination, residue and washing conditions can affect what you see.
Avoid unnecessary variables.
- Abrasive cleaners, household substitutes and dirty wash tools.
- Brush contact that can carry grit across the finish.
- Layering unknown toppers without checking compatibility.
- Scrubbing dried contamination or treating every mark as coating failure.
When to return for inspection.
Ask for an assessment when the paint stays rough after a careful wash, spots persist, behaviour changes sharply across a panel, or repair work has affected a coated area.
The useful question is not only whether the coating is present. It is whether cleaning, decontamination, maintenance or another intervention is proportionate now.
